College Football Weather Report — September 19, 2026

Rain and thunderstorms are the primary concern across Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, northern Indiana, Colorado and the Chicago lakefront. Madison and Evanston have the highest delay risk, while Toledo, Mount Pleasant, South Bend and Fort Collins also require monitoring. Extreme heat will affect several SEC games.

NO. 2 GEORGIA @ ARKANSAS

Mostly sunny and hot in Fayetteville. Expect 89 degrees at kickoff, 42% humidity and no rain. Southwest wind around 10 mph will quarter across the field toward the northeast end zone, with possible gusts near 18 mph later.

BUFFALO @ NO. 14 PENN STATE

Mostly cloudy with a temperature near 65 degrees, 63% humidity and a 1% chance of rain at kickoff. Southeast wind around 2–3 mph will create a very light quartering breeze. Weather should not cause problems.

NORTH CAROLINA @ CLEMSON

Mostly sunny with a temperature near 86 degrees, 68% humidity and a 3% chance of rain. East wind around 5 mph will blow primarily end-zone-to-end-zone.

AKRON @ MINNESOTA

Overcast and damp with a temperature near 62 degrees, 88% humidity and a 16% chance of rain. ENE wind around 8 mph will blow mostly end-zone-to-end-zone. Light showers or drizzle remain possible during the first half.

EASTERN MICHIGAN @ WISCONSIN

Rain and thunderstorms are expected around kickoff in Madison. The temperature will be near 66 degrees with 100% humidity and a 66% chance of precipitation. Southeast wind around 6 mph will quarter across the field. The rain probability could climb above 75% during the game.

WYOMING @ CENTRAL MICHIGAN

Cool, cloudy and rainy in Mount Pleasant. Expect 58 degrees, 90% humidity and a 56% chance of rain. East wind around 7–8 mph will create a CROSSWIND. Rain could continue through most of the game.

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS @ ILLINOIS

Warm and mostly cloudy with a temperature near 83 degrees, 77% humidity and a 17% chance of rain. ENE wind around 6 mph will create a quartering CROSSWIND. The rain probability should decrease after kickoff.

TEMPLE @ TOLEDO

Cloudy with rain and thunderstorms possible around kickoff. Expect 69 degrees, 80% humidity and a 52% chance of rain. East wind around 6 mph will create a CROSSWIND. The rain probability should gradually decrease during the game.

KENTUCKY @ NO. 9 TEXAS A&M

Hot and mostly sunny in College Station. Expect 95 degrees, 40% humidity and no rain. Southeast wind around 6 mph will quarter across the field toward the northwest end zone.

FLORIDA STATE @ NO. 10 ALABAMA

Dangerously hot in Tuscaloosa with a temperature near 99 degrees, 38% humidity and a 33% chance of thunderstorms. North wind around 2 mph will blow end-zone-to-end-zone but provide little relief. The storm probability could approach 40% during the game.

NO. 12 USC @ RUTGERS

Partly cloudy and comfortable with a temperature near 73 degrees, 55% humidity and no rain expected. East wind around 5 mph will create a light CROSSWIND.

NO. 16 SMU @ NO. 23 LOUISVILLE

Hot and partly sunny with a temperature near 93 degrees, 51% humidity and a 13% chance of rain. Southwest wind around 5 mph will quarter across the field. The rain probability could increase to approximately 28% later.

NORTHERN IOWA @ NO. 18 IOWA

Warm and humid with a temperature near 81 degrees, 79% humidity and a 39% chance of rain. South wind around 10 mph will blow end-zone-to-end-zone before shifting southwest and weakening. A passing thunderstorm is possible during the game.

FLORIDA @ AUBURN

Warm and increasingly cloudy with a temperature near 86 degrees, 59% humidity and a 44% chance of thunderstorms. Northeast wind around 2 mph will create a very light quartering breeze. Rain could interrupt play during the evening.

MICHIGAN STATE @ NO. 3 NOTRE DAME

Cloudy and extremely humid in South Bend. Expect 73 degrees, 90% humidity and a 41% chance of rain at kickoff. Southeast wind around 5 mph will quarter across the field. The rain probability rises above 50% during the game.

NO. 7 LSU @ NO. 8 OLE MISS

Hot and mostly clear in Oxford with a temperature near 95 degrees, 36% humidity and only a 1% chance of rain. Winds will be calm to 2 mph with no meaningful field direction.

NO. 11 BYU @ COLORADO STATE

Cloudy with thunderstorms possible around kickoff. Expect 70 degrees, 55% humidity and a 56% chance of rain. Northeast wind around 6 mph will quarter across the field. Rain remains possible throughout the game, although the probability should gradually decrease.

WEST VIRGINIA VS. NO. 25 VIRGINIA

Warm and humid in Charlotte with a temperature near 81 degrees, 76% humidity and a 16% chance of rain. ENE wind around 6 mph will create a CROSSWIND. The rain probability should decrease after kickoff.

COLORADO @ NORTHWESTERN

Cloudy and extremely humid along the lakefront with a temperature near 71 degrees, 97% humidity and a 63% chance of rain. ESE wind around 6 mph will create an across-the-field CROSSWIND off Lake Michigan. The rain probability could climb above 75% during the game.

BOTTOM LINE

Eastern Michigan–Wisconsin and Colorado–Northwestern carry the highest rain and delay risk. Wyoming–Central Michigan and Temple–Toledo also have rain around kickoff, while Michigan State–Notre Dame, BYU–Colorado State and Florida–Auburn require continued thunderstorm monitoring. Tuscaloosa, College Station, Louisville and Oxford will be extremely hot. No game currently has dangerously strong sustained wind.
