COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEATHER UPDATE — SEPTEMBER 12, 2026

MONTANA STATE AT NEVADA

Strong winds are now the biggest weather concern on the remaining slate. Sustained winds of 15–25 mph are expected in Reno, with gusts potentially reaching 40–50 mph. Deep passing, kicking and punts could all be affected.

BUFFALO AT FIU

Temperatures will be near 89 degrees with high humidity at kickoff. Thunderstorms could develop during the game, creating the possibility of heavy rain, wet-field conditions and lightning delays.

TENNESSEE AT GEORGIA TECH

The forecast has improved since this morning. Mostly cloudy conditions are expected, and the earlier rain concern has been reduced to only an isolated chance of a thunderstorm.

OHIO STATE AT TEXAS

Extreme heat remains the primary concern. Temperatures could be near 98 degrees at kickoff, but dry conditions are expected.

ARKANSAS AT UTAH

Dry conditions are expected with no significant weather impact.

ARIZONA AT BYU

Dry conditions are expected with no significant weather impact.

BOTTOM LINE

Montana State–Nevada is the most significant remaining weather game because of the strong wind. Buffalo–FIU carries a thunderstorm and potential delay risk. No betting opinion needs to be forced on the other games.
