NFL Injury Report — Friday, October 2, 2026
Friday’s final injury reports have brought clarity to most of the Week 4 slate, with several major absences now confirmed. Quarterback is the biggest story: Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams and Baker Mayfield have all been ruled out. Minnesota will be without Justin Jefferson, the Jets lose Breece Hall, and Philadelphia is missing three important pass catchers. Monday night’s Atlanta-New Orleans matchup is the exception, with final game designations still to come.
ARIZONA CARDINALS
Safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson has been ruled out with a back injury, while linebacker Josh Sweat is questionable with a groin injury. Those are Arizona’s only final game designations for Sunday against the Giants.
ATLANTA FALCONS
Atlanta plays Monday night at New Orleans, so the Falcons do not yet have their final game-status report. Friday practice participation should not be treated as a final designation. Atlanta’s injury picture needs another check after Saturday’s final report.
BALTIMORE RAVENS
Baltimore will be without centers Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic, while edge rusher Trey Hendrickson is also out with a finger injury. Wide receiver Chris Moore and tackle Ronnie Stanley are questionable.
Zay Flowers requires some clarification: he returned to full practice Thursday and was back on the field Friday, but Baltimore’s final game-status listing still officially carries him as questionable with the hamstring injury. His improved practice participation is encouraging, but the official designation remains questionable entering the weekend.
BUFFALO BILLS
Cornerback Christian Benford is questionable with a toe injury after missing practice throughout the week. Running back Ray Davis is questionable with a hamstring injury, while defensive lineman T.J. Sanders is doubtful following an appendectomy. Keon Coleman was limited Friday with an ankle injury, but Buffalo expects him to play.
CAROLINA PANTHERS
Carolina will be without wide receiver Xavier Legette and starting left guard Damien Lewis against Detroit. Wide receiver Jalen Coker, right tackle Monroe Freeling and defensive tackles Lee Hunter and Cam Jackson are questionable. Lewis’ absence affects the offensive front, while Legette removes another option from Carolina’s passing game.
CHICAGO BEARS
Caleb Williams has officially been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Chicago will also be without offensive lineman Braxton Jones, defensive lineman Shemar Turner, linebacker Noah Sewell and defensive back Kyler Gordon. Defensive back Cam Lewis is doubtful. The quarterback absence is clearly the biggest issue for the Bears against the Jets.
CINCINNATI BENGALS
Cincinnati has ruled out wide receiver Colbie Young and safety Kyle Dugger. Guard Dalton Risner, defensive tackle B.J. Hill, linebacker Swayze Bozeman and safety Bryan Cook are questionable. The Bengals enter Sunday with multiple defensive concerns, particularly Hill’s Achilles injury along the interior.
CLEVELAND BROWNS
Cleveland already completed its Week 4 game Thursday night against Pittsburgh, so there is no remaining Sunday injury situation to monitor.
DALLAS COWBOYS
Dallas will be without linebacker DeMarvion Overshown and cornerback Cobie Durant, both because of hamstring injuries. Those losses leave the Cowboys thinner at linebacker and in the secondary for Sunday’s matchup with Houston.
DENVER BRONCOS
Denver enters the weekend relatively healthy. Linebacker Dondrea Tillman has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, and he is the Broncos’ only final game designation for Sunday against San Francisco.
DETROIT LIONS
Detroit will be without guard Ben Bartch because of a foot injury. Cornerback D.J. Reed is questionable with a rib injury and remains the Lions’ primary availability question entering Sunday night against Carolina.
GREEN BAY PACKERS
Green Bay is dealing with significant attrition in the trenches. Guard Aaron Banks, offensive lineman Jacob Monk and defensive tackles Warren Brinson and Anthony Campbell are out. Offensive lineman Jager Burton and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper are questionable. The accumulation of losses along both lines is the biggest injury concern for Green Bay against Tampa Bay.
HOUSTON TEXANS
Houston will be without linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair and safety M.J. Stewart. Offensive lineman Ed Ingram, defensive ends Jadeveon Clowney and Logan Hall and linebacker Jake Hansen are questionable. Houston therefore carries several front-seven concerns into Sunday’s matchup with Dallas.
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
Indianapolis has a short final list entering Sunday morning’s London game. Wide receivers Keenan Allen and Ashton Dulin are questionable. Allen did not practice Friday because of his groin injury, while Dulin progressed to full participation. Jonathan Taylor finished the week as a full participant and carries no final game designation.
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
Jacksonville lists defensive tackle Albert Regis and cornerbacks Chris Braswell and Montaric Brown as questionable. Those are the Jaguars’ only final game designations, leaving the secondary as the main area to monitor against Cincinnati.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
Kansas City’s primary absence is starting left tackle Josh Simmons, who has been ruled out with a back injury. He is the Chiefs’ only final game designation entering the divisional matchup with Las Vegas.
LAS VEGAS RAIDERS
Starting guard Jackson Powers-Johnson has been ruled out with a groin injury, creating an offensive-line concern against Kansas City. Backup quarterback Aidan O’Connell is questionable because of a personal matter.
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS
The Chargers carry one of the deeper injury reports of the weekend. Wide receiver Brenen Thompson, tight end Charlie Kolar, guard Kayode Awosika and defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson are out. Trey Lance, Ladd McConkey, Donte Jackson, Derwin James and Elijah Molden are questionable. McConkey and James are among the most important remaining Sunday decisions.
LOS ANGELES RAMS
The Rams will be without Aaron Donald because of a back injury and cornerback Jaylen Watson because of a shoulder injury. Tight end Colby Parkinson and edge rusher Josaiah Stewart are questionable. Puka Nacua does not carry a final game designation, an important development for the Rams’ passing game against Philadelphia.
MIAMI DOLPHINS
Miami has ruled out wide receiver Caleb Douglas, edge rusher Robert Beal Jr. and cornerback Storm Duck. Running back Jaylen Wright and center Aaron Brewer are expected to play, giving Miami positive news at two offensive spots entering Minnesota.
MINNESOTA VIKINGS
Justin Jefferson has officially been ruled out with an ankle injury, one of the biggest skill-position absences on the Week 4 slate. Minnesota will also be without cornerback Charles Demmings and punter Brett Thorson. Jefferson’s absence forces the Vikings to redistribute a significant portion of their passing-game workload against Miami.
NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
New England will be without defensive tackle Christian Barmore, cornerback Christian Gonzalez and safety Brenden Schooler against Buffalo. Reggie Gilliam, Eli Raridon, Morgan Moses, Christian Elliss, Dre’Mont Jones, Channing Canada and Craig Woodson are questionable. Gonzalez’s absence is particularly important against Buffalo’s passing attack.
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
New Orleans plays Monday night against Atlanta, so Friday’s practice information is not the Saints’ final game-status report. The Saints have another reporting cycle before final designations are issued, and Friday absences or limitations should not be treated as official outs.
NEW YORK GIANTS
The Giants enter Sunday without a single final injury designation. Players who appeared on the practice report during the week have been cleared from the final game-status list, leaving New York without an official questionable, doubtful or out designation against Arizona.
NEW YORK JETS
The Jets were hit hard Friday. Starting running back Breece Hall has been ruled out with a quad injury. Wide receiver Adonai Mitchell, tight end Mason Taylor, guard Dylan Parham and linebacker Francisco Mauigoa are also out. Tight end Kenyon Sadiq and edge rusher Kingsley Enagbare are questionable. Hall is the headline loss and forces New York to reshape its backfield workload against Chicago.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
Philadelphia enters Sunday severely depleted in the passing game. Wide receivers Marquise Brown and DeVonta Smith and tight end Dallas Goedert have all been ruled out. Offensive lineman Fred Johnson, linebacker Zack Baun and safety Marcus Epps are also out. Losing Brown, Smith and Goedert simultaneously creates one of the most significant offensive injury clusters on the Week 4 slate.
PITTSBURGH STEELERS
Pittsburgh already completed its Week 4 game Thursday night against Cleveland, so there is no remaining Sunday injury situation to monitor.
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
San Francisco has major losses along its defensive front. James Thompson Jr., Nick Bosa and Mykel Williams have been ruled out. Wide receiver Mike Evans, defensive end Keion White and linebackers Jaden Dugger and Dre Greenlaw are questionable. The absences of Bosa and Williams leave the 49ers significantly depleted up front against Denver.
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
Seattle will be without running back Jadarian Price because of a chest injury. Linebacker Chazz Surratt and safety Ty Okada are questionable. Those are Seattle’s only final game designations for the Chargers matchup.
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
Baker Mayfield has officially been ruled out with a right-thumb injury, creating the most important Tampa Bay injury development of the week. Tight end Ko Kieft, edge rusher Rueben Bain Jr. and cornerback Benjamin Morrison are also out. Defensive lineman Rakeem Nunez-Roches, linebacker SirVocea Dennis and cornerback Jacob Parrish are questionable.
TENNESSEE TITANS
Running back Tyjae Spears is questionable with an ankle injury, while safety Kevin Winston Jr. is questionable with a shoulder injury. Those are Tennessee’s only final game designations entering Sunday’s matchup in Baltimore.
WASHINGTON COMMANDERS
Jayden Daniels has officially been ruled out with his left-elbow injury, and Marcus Mariota will start against Indianapolis in London. Running back Rachaad White, guard Samuel Cosmi and safety Nick Cross are also out. Terry McLaurin and Percy Butler are questionable. McLaurin’s hamstring is the biggest remaining Washington injury to monitor before the early Sunday kickoff.
BOTTOM LINE
The biggest confirmed offensive losses are at quarterback and the skill positions. Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams and Baker Mayfield are out; Minnesota is without Justin Jefferson; the Jets lose Breece Hall; and Philadelphia will be without Marquise Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert.
The remaining Sunday decisions include Terry McLaurin, Ladd McConkey, Tyjae Spears and several other important players. Zay Flowers improved to full practice participation Thursday and returned to the field Friday, but Baltimore still officially lists him as questionable, so his status belongs on the Sunday inactive-list watch rather than being treated as an expected absence.
Atlanta and New Orleans play Monday night and have not issued their final game designations yet.
