NFL Injury Update — September 20, 2026

ARIZONA CARDINALS

CB Will Johnson left Sunday’s game with a neck injury and did not receive a definitive postgame status. His availability will be monitored when Arizona returns to practice.

ATLANTA FALCONS

RT Jawaan Taylor exited with a rib injury and was replaced by Michael Jerrell. The severity remains unconfirmed. Taylor’s availability matters for Atlanta’s pass protection and rushing efficiency.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

EDGE Trevis Gipson was evaluated for a concussion. His status will depend on follow-up testing and whether he enters the league’s concussion protocol.

CHICAGO BEARS

QB Caleb Williams suffered a non-contact right hamstring injury in the fourth quarter against Minnesota and was carted to the locker room. Coach Ben Johnson confirmed the injury involves the hamstring rather than the knee. Williams later walked without crutches and appeared upbeat, but the Bears will not know the severity until Monday’s imaging.

Tyson Bagent replaced Williams. Chicago’s Week 3 side, total and quarterback and receiver props should be treated cautiously until the MRI results are available.

CB Tyrique Stevenson also left with a hamstring injury. His status remains uncertain.

DALLAS COWBOYS

S P.J. Locke left with a foot injury and was seen wearing a walking boot after the game. The boot could be precautionary, but further testing is expected. His potential absence would weaken the middle of the Dallas secondary.

DENVER BRONCOS

RB J.K. Dobbins sustained what Sean Payton described as a hamstring injury. Dobbins was frustrated by the issue, but Denver has not provided a timetable.

The development is especially important because R.J. Harvey was inactive Sunday with his own hamstring injury. Jonah Coleman and Tyler Badie would be positioned for larger roles if either veteran remains unavailable.

GREEN BAY PACKERS

WR Jayden Reed suffered a head and neck injury on Green Bay’s opening possession. He was immobilized on a spine board, carted off and ruled out. Reed later indicated that he was doing better, but he still needs additional evaluation before any return timetable can be established.

RT Zach Bako-Bewele injured his right knee on the following play. His leg was placed in an air cast before he was carted off and ruled out. The early indications are concerning, with imaging needed to determine the extent of the damage.

Losing Reed would redistribute targets throughout Green Bay’s receiving group. A prolonged absence for Bako-Bewele would also affect Jordan Love’s protection and the Packers’ running game.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

S Derwin James fractured his left pinky finger. James said he expects to continue playing while wearing a cast, so the injury is not currently expected to cost him game time.

MIAMI DOLPHINS

RB Jaylen Wright exited with a stinger. Miami did not provide a detailed postgame timetable. His status matters for the depth and touch distribution behind De’Von Achane.

WR Caleb Douglas suffered a right ankle injury and left the locker room in a walking boot. The boot may be precautionary, but the rookie will require additional evaluation.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

RG Mike Onwenu suffered a broken right ankle after being rolled up from behind and is feared to be lost for the season. Greg Van Roten replaced him. This is a significant downgrade to New England’s offensive line and could affect both Drake Maye’s protection and the running game.

EDGE Dre’Mont Jones left with a shoulder injury and was ruled out.

S Craig Woodson suffered a shoulder injury, S Dell Pettus sustained an ankle injury and TE Eli Raridon left with a thigh injury. All three were unable to finish the game, leaving New England with multiple depth concerns on defense and at tight end.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

RB Saquon Barkley suffered a stinger on Philadelphia’s opening offensive play. He returned briefly while wearing additional neck protection but exited again later. Barkley said he will undergo an MRI and expressed optimism, but his Week 3 availability and potential workload remain uncertain.

Tank Bigsby handled most of the work behind Barkley, with Will Shipley also involved. Both would gain value if Barkley is limited or unavailable.

TE Dallas Goedert left with a knee injury and did not return. Philadelphia has not announced the severity. His absence would redistribute short-area and red-zone targets.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

RB Rico Dowdle left with a toe injury after four carries and did not return. The Steelers have not provided a timetable. Jaylen Warren would be in position for a larger workload if Dowdle misses time.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

WR Demarcus Robinson suffered a right high-ankle sprain and is expected to miss multiple weeks. He left the stadium with a limp but without a walking boot or crutches.

DT James Thompson Jr. also sustained a high-ankle injury that is expected to require a multi-week recovery.

WR Mike Evans exited with a hip injury but remained on the sideline with his helmet, suggesting he may have been available in a closer game. His status still needs to be confirmed this week.

San Francisco’s receiver depth is becoming a major concern. Robinson’s absence should concentrate opportunities among Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Christian McCaffrey and the remaining healthy receivers.

TENNESSEE TITANS

RG Fernando Carmona suffered a shoulder injury and is undergoing further evaluation. His status will be important for Tennessee’s interior protection and rushing attack.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

QB Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow for the second time. X-rays showed no fracture, but Daniels will undergo additional imaging Monday to determine the ligament damage and whether surgery is required.

Coach Dan Quinn expressed optimism that Daniels could return during the 2026 season, but he will miss time. Marcus Mariota becomes Washington’s starting quarterback while Daniels is sidelined.

The quarterback change is a substantial downgrade to Washington’s passing efficiency and designed-quarterback rushing threat. It also changes the projections for the Commanders’ receivers, running backs, team totals and weekly point spreads.

RG Sam Cosmi entered the concussion protocol. LT Brandon Coleman also left with a finger injury, creating additional concerns for an offensive line that will now be protecting Mariota.
