NFL Monday Injury Report — October 19: Quarterback Questions and Injury Clusters Shape Week 7

ARIZONA CARDINALS

Running back Jeremiyah Love’s ankle remains a key watch after he missed the Rams game. Arizona already has Trey Benson out for the season and James Conner on injured reserve. The backfield’s available personnel could change rushing workloads against Denver. Left tackle Paris Johnson’s season-ending biceps injury remains an important protection concern.

ATLANTA FALCONS

Linebacker Kendal Daniels was released from the hospital following Sunday’s frightening neck injury, and Monday’s update was encouraging. That does not establish his availability against San Francisco. Divine Deablo also left with an arm injury, creating a potential linebacker cluster. Monitor both before assuming Atlanta will have its normal underneath coverage and tackling personnel.

BALTIMORE RAVENS

Lamar Jackson remains day to day with his ankle injury. Jesse Minter said Wednesday should provide more clarity; a return to practice is possible, not confirmed.

Center Cam Jurgens is progressing through concussion protocol and could make his Baltimore debut. His return would also allow Vega Ioane to move back to guard. That makes this more than a quarterback-only situation: Baltimore could improve at multiple offensive positions together.

Rashod Bateman’s shoulder also needs monitoring after his early exit, although Minter expressed optimism Monday. Cincinnati–Baltimore remains one of the week’s biggest availability-dependent matchups.

BUFFALO BILLS

Dalton Kincaid’s ribs need follow-up after he left the Raiders game. Buffalo has a Week 7 bye, providing recovery time before its next matchup. Separately, safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson received a one-game suspension Monday, an availability issue rather than an injury.

CAROLINA PANTHERS

Cornerbacks Jaycee Horn and Michael Jackson remain on injured reserve. That continuing secondary cluster matters against Tampa Bay, particularly if Baker Mayfield returns. Carolina’s defensive matchup should be assessed alongside Tampa Bay’s quarterback decision rather than treating those as separate stories.

CHICAGO BEARS

Monday’s estimated non-participants included linebacker T.J. Edwards with a hamstring injury, linebacker Jack Sanborn with a concussion, offensive lineman Jonah Jackson with hip/quadriceps issues, and running back Kyle Monangai with thumb/toe injuries.

The linebacker situation is the main cluster, while Jackson’s availability matters for interior protection. Thursday’s turnaround leaves less recovery time than a normal week. These are participation concerns, not final game designations.

CINCINNATI BENGALS

Tight end Tanner Hudson was placed on injured reserve with a pectoral injury. Receiver Andrei Iosivas also remains on IR with a thumb injury. Those absences reduce receiving depth coming out of the bye. Baltimore’s quarterback and offensive-line developments remain the larger variables in this matchup.

CLEVELAND BROWNS

Safety Grant Delpit suffered a concussion Sunday. His progress through protocol is the next checkpoint before the Tennessee game. Cleveland should not be priced as having its normal safety personnel until his availability becomes clearer.

DALLAS COWBOYS

Receiver and returner KaVontae Turpin left Sunday’s game with a rib injury. Linebacker Dee Winters also exited with a lower-leg injury. Neither Sunday departure alone establishes a Week 7 absence.

Turpin’s condition affects both offensive packages and the return game. Dallas plays next Monday, allowing more recovery time than teams playing Thursday.

DENVER BRONCOS

Pat Surtain II and Talanoa Hufanga missed the Seattle game with ankle injuries. Their Week 7 availability still needs confirmation. Having both missing would leave a meaningful secondary cluster against Arizona; do not assume the extra days after Thursday’s game automatically mean either player returns.

DETROIT LIONS

Brian Branch and center Cade Mays are expected to return against Green Bay, but their workloads remain unsettled. Dan Campbell indicated Branch should not be expected to immediately handle a full game’s snaps.

The distinction matters: returning to the lineup does not necessarily mean returning to a normal role. Watch how Detroit plans to distribute secondary snaps and handle the center position.

GREEN BAY PACKERS

Micah Parsons will not practice this week as he continues recovering from his knee injury. His return should not be assumed against Detroit. Javon Hargrave and Edgerrin Cooper’s season-ending injuries also remain part of Green Bay’s defensive personnel picture.

Separately, Josh Jacobs is off the Commissioner’s Exempt List and is expected to receive a full week of practice. His game availability remains to be determined. That is a roster-status development, not an injury clearance.

HOUSTON TEXANS

Safety Reed Blankenship suffered a concussion Sunday. With Jalen Pitre having missed the London game because of a shoulder injury, Houston’s safety group deserves particular attention before facing the Giants. Whether one or both can play changes the significance of that cluster.

Tank Dell’s anticipated return is positive receiving news, but his first-game workload should not be assumed to match a normal established role.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

Sauce Gardner is considered week to week after a Monday MRI showed a mild calf strain. His availability against Minnesota is uncertain. This is a significant coverage concern, especially if Indianapolis must change its usual matchups or provide additional safety help outside.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Safety Antonio Johnson left Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. Jacksonville enters its bye, giving the team additional time to evaluate him. Anton Harrison’s knee injury remains an existing offensive-line concern. There is no Week 7 game to price.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS

Right tackle Jaylon Moore entered concussion protocol Sunday. His clearance matters for protection against Seattle. Receiver Tyquan Thornton remains on injured reserve, and Rashee Rice missed Week 6 with hamstring/knee issues; Rice’s participation this week needs a fresh check.

LOS ANGELES CHARGERS

Ladd McConkey and defensive back Deane Leonard suffered concussions Sunday. The Chargers have a Week 7 bye, which provides recovery time but does not guarantee clearance.

The offensive-line injury cluster remains important beyond this week, with Rashawn Slater and Trey Pipkins among the players on injured reserve.

LOS ANGELES RAMS

This is the most significant new injury cluster on the board.

Davante Adams is expected to miss six to 10 weeks with a ruptured hamstring muscle. Nose tackle Poona Ford is out for the season with a ruptured triceps. Kobie Turner is expected to miss multiple weeks with a groin injury and is likely headed to injured reserve.

Myles Garrett will not return to practice this week following knee surgery. Trent McDuffie is progressing from his groin injury, but his Raiders-game status remains unresolved. Kicker Blake Grupe is also out for the season after tearing his ACL.

The impact stretches across receiving, interior run defense, pass rush and kicking. Adams’ absence can concentrate receiving opportunities, while losing Ford and Turner together changes the defensive front. A replacement kicker adds another variable. This deserves a broader adjustment than focusing on one missing receiver.

LAS VEGAS RAIDERS

Jack Bech remains on injured reserve with an arm injury. Dont’e Thornton has been designated to return from his hamstring injury, but a practice window is not the same as game activation.

The major new development for this matchup comes from the Rams’ mounting absences. Las Vegas’ own receiver availability still needs confirmation before projecting individual workloads.

MIAMI DOLPHINS

De’Von Achane remains out for the season with his knee injury. Coming out of the bye does not restore Miami’s normal backfield personnel. Evaluate rushing and receiving workloads using the available backs rather than the opening-season depth chart.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Jordan Mason has been designated to return from injured reserve following his thumb injury. That opens his practice window; it does not confirm he will play against Indianapolis. His availability could change the backfield rotation and individual rushing opportunities.

NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS

Romeo Doubs was placed on injured reserve Monday with a shoulder injury.

The offensive line is the larger cluster: Ben Brown was an estimated non-participant with a knee injury, Alijah Vera-Tucker did not participate with a hamstring injury, and Morgan Moses was limited with a foot injury.

A.J. Brown remained limited with his ankle injury, while cornerback Carlton Davis III was a non-participant with a neck injury. Thursday’s short turnaround makes the next two reports particularly important. Protection problems could affect the passing game even if the quarterback is available.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

Tyler Shough is reportedly playing through fractures in his non-throwing left hand. That does not mean he is ruled out, but ball handling and taking snaps remain relevant concerns.

Guard Cesar Ruiz also left Sunday’s game with a knee injury. Monitor protection and offensive-line availability before the Paris matchup against Pittsburgh. Receiver Jordyn Tyson traveled with the team while still on injured reserve; travel alone does not establish activation.

NEW YORK GIANTS

Jaxson Dart remains out with his knee injury. The Giants also picked up new concerns Sunday: cornerback Greg Newsome II suffered a concussion, and receiver Darnell Mooney left with a neck injury.

That combination affects an offense already operating without its original starting quarterback and a secondary preparing for Houston’s receiving group. Newsome’s protocol progress and Mooney’s practice participation are the next checkpoints.

NEW YORK JETS

Linebacker Kiko Mauigoa left Sunday’s game with a thigh injury. His status needs follow-up before Miami. David Onyemata also remains a defensive-front return watch from injured reserve. Eligibility to return should not be confused with an activation.
