NFL Week 6 Weather Report: Tampa and London Lead Sunday’s Watch List
Sunday, October 18 — Morning Update
All kickoff times Eastern.
Wind is the main weather concern on Sunday’s NFL slate, with Tampa and London drawing the closest attention. Most other outdoor games currently project to have manageable conditions.
STEELERS AT BUCCANEERS — 1:00 P.M.
Tampa’s forecast calls for temperatures around 77–78 degrees and little rain risk. Northeast winds are expected around 15–16 mph in the National Weather Service forecast, while another forecast places gusts near 24 mph.
That deserves attention for deep passing and longer field goals. It could influence fourth-down decisions if kicking becomes uncomfortable, but the forecast alone does not justify an automatic under. Watch how the wind behaves inside the stadium during warmups.
TEXANS VS. JAGUARS, LONDON — 9:30 A.M.
Temperatures should sit in the mid-50s, with relatively low rain chances. The uncertainty is wind: the Wembley forecast has sustained winds around 11–12 mph and gusts near 25, while a central-London forecast projects gusts approaching 30 mph.
Those stronger gusts are a regional warning sign rather than a confirmed stadium forecast. If they materialize at Wembley, longer throws and kicks become more vulnerable. This is a pregame conditions check, particularly for passing props and field-goal markets.
COWBOYS AT PACKERS — 8:20 P.M.
Lambeau currently projects around 48–51 degrees, with little rain risk, sustained winds near 9–10 mph and gusts around 20. Cool October weather, but nothing in that forecast alone calls for a substantial scoring downgrade.
ELSEWHERE ON THE SLATE
Cleveland, New England, the Meadowlands and Philadelphia currently show low precipitation risk and generally modest winds. Kansas City projects winds around 8–12 mph, with gusts near 18.
Atlanta and Indianapolis have retractable roofs; their opening decisions still need confirmation. Las Vegas offers protection from outdoor weather.
MONDAY NIGHT: COMMANDERS AT 49ERS
The early outlook for Santa Clara is approximately 56–60 degrees with little rain risk. Winds could begin around 14 mph before easing through the evening. No major weather concern is apparent at this stage.
For bettors, Tampa and London are the locations where the final stadium conditions matter most. Elsewhere, the current forecasts offer little reason to force a weather-based wager.
