Today’s College Football Injury Update — September 5, 2026
OKLAHOMA STATE
Starting left tackle Jacob Sexton suffered an apparent right-leg injury against Tulsa. An air cast was applied before he was carted from the field. No diagnosis has been announced, but the circumstances make this a potentially serious injury. Losing Sexton would significantly affect Oklahoma State’s offensive-line depth and pass protection.
OREGON STATE
Starting center Carter Guillaume exited against Houston with a left-foot injury. He was later seen on crutches with his foot in a walking boot. No recovery timeline has been announced. This is a meaningful injury for an Oregon State offense that would be forced to make an immediate change in the middle of its offensive line.
INDIANA
Running back Khobie Martin suffered an apparent arm or shoulder injury against North Texas. Head coach Curt Cignetti said Martin could be out “a little bit,” indicating that he may miss time. Martin rushed for 505 yards and six touchdowns last season and was expected to hold an important role in Indiana’s three-back rotation.
Indiana also lost starting cornerbacks A.J. Harris and Jamari Sharpe during the game. Both were ruled out for the remainder of the opener, but Cignetti said neither injury is expected to be a long-term issue.
WEST VIRGINIA
