MLB INJURY REPORT — SEPTEMBER 14, 2026

CINCINNATI REDS

Matt McLain — 2B — Shoulder

CURRENT STATUS: McLain remains out of the lineup for tonight’s game against the Dodgers.

BETTING IMPACT: Cincinnati remains without an important right-handed bat near the top of its order. The absence weakens the Reds’ offensive projection against left-handed pitching.

HOUSTON ASTROS

Carlos Correa — INF — Ankle

CURRENT STATUS: Correa continues working toward a late-September return. Houston is considering using him at second base when he is activated.

BETTING IMPACT: No immediate adjustment is required, but his return would strengthen Houston’s infield and deepen the middle of the batting order during the playoff race.

LOS ANGELES DODGERS

Shohei Ohtani — DH — Right biceps and left knee

CURRENT STATUS: Ohtani remains on the injured list but could resume swinging as early as today or Tuesday.

BETTING IMPACT: The Dodgers remain without their most dangerous bat. Top prospect Josue De Paula should continue receiving regular opportunities while Ohtani is unavailable.

Kris Bubic — SP — Shoulder

CURRENT STATUS: Bubic joined the Dodgers in Cincinnati but was not activated today. He has thrown 5⅔ scoreless innings with a strong strikeout rate during his rehabilitation assignment.

BETTING IMPACT: His return would reinforce an injury-depleted pitching staff, but he should not be included in projections until Los Angeles confirms an activation date.

PITTSBURGH PIRATES

Esmerlyn Valdez — OF — Hamstring

CURRENT STATUS: Valdez was placed on the 10-day injured list after injuring his hamstring while running to first base. With two weeks remaining, his season could be finished.

BETTING IMPACT: Pittsburgh loses a legitimate power threat who produced 17 home runs in 72 games. Ronny Simon was recalled and should absorb some of the available outfield work.

SAN DIEGO PADRES

Ty France — 1B — Paternity list

CURRENT STATUS: France was activated today and is available to return to the lineup.

BETTING IMPACT: San Diego regains a productive right-handed bat for the playoff race. France is hitting .294 with 20 home runs and 63 RBIs this season.

SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS

Rafael Devers — 1B/DH — Core muscle

CURRENT STATUS: Devers was placed on the 60-day injured list Sunday, officially ending his season. He is undergoing additional evaluation and may require surgery.

BETTING IMPACT: This is a significant offensive loss. Devers had been San Francisco’s hottest hitter and leaves the Giants without their primary power threat.

Logan Webb — SP — Workload

CURRENT STATUS: San Francisco is considering shutting Webb down for the remainder of the season. Webb said he is not fatigued and wants to continue pitching, but the team has not committed to another start.

BETTING IMPACT: Do not assume Webb makes his next scheduled start until the Giants confirm it. His removal would create a substantial downgrade to San Francisco’s starting-pitching projection.

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

JJ Wetherholt — INF — Wrist

CURRENT STATUS: Wetherholt is scheduled to hit against a pitching machine today and complete a full pregame workout Tuesday.

BETTING IMPACT: He is moving closer to a return, but St. Louis has not confirmed an activation date. No lineup adjustment should be made yet.

Blaze Jordan — 3B — Ankle

CURRENT STATUS: Jordan has progressed to jogging and fielding ground balls but remains on the injured list.

BETTING IMPACT: The progress is encouraging, although he is still expected to miss additional time.

TORONTO BLUE JAYS

Rudy Martin Jr. — OF — Left hamstring

CURRENT STATUS: Toronto placed Martin on the 10-day injured list today, retroactive to September 13. Davis Schneider was recalled as part of the roster adjustment.

BETTING IMPACT: This primarily affects Toronto’s outfield depth. Schneider becomes an additional right-handed option for the lineup.
