𝗠𝗜𝗔𝗠𝗜 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗦

Outfielder Kyle Stowers left Thursday night’s game with a hamstring injury and was scheduled for imaging today. Stowers recently returned from a Grade 1 left hamstring strain, making this a potential recurrence. His availability should be monitored closely before Miami’s lineup is finalized.

𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗦

Reliever Steven Okert was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right hamstring strain. Okert has been one of Houston’s most dependable relievers, producing a 2.13 ERA while appearing in a team-high 68 games.

Bryan King was recalled to replace him. The loss weakens Houston’s late-inning bullpen depth and could affect how aggressively the Astros use their remaining high-leverage relievers.

𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗧𝗦𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗛 𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦

Shortstop Konnor Griffin was activated from the 60-day injured list after recovering from a torn tendon in his left ring finger.

Before the injury, Griffin was batting .276 with five home runs, 25 RBIs and 20 stolen bases in 59 games. His return adds speed and offensive upside to Pittsburgh’s lineup for tonight’s game against the Angels.

𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗚𝗢 𝗪𝗛𝗜𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗢𝗫

Catcher Kyle Teel was reinstated from the 10-day injured list after recovering from a high-ankle sprain.

Teel has been limited to 19 games this season after dealing with multiple injuries. Drew Romo was optioned to Triple-A in the corresponding move. Teel’s return changes Chicago’s catching rotation, although his workload may be managed initially.

𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗚𝗨𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗦

Reliever Colin Holderman was placed on the 15-day injured list with right wrist inflammation.

Right-hander Slade Cecconi was activated from the injured list, and Austin Peterson was recalled from Triple-A. Cecconi’s return gives Cleveland another available arm, but Holderman’s absence reduces its bullpen depth.

Outfielder James Wood has returned from the injured list after recovering from an oblique strain, strengthening the middle of Washington’s lineup.
