College Football Weather Report — September 6, 2026

Sunday’s college football schedule features three FBS games. Nashville has the only weather worth highlighting, but even there, the concern is heat rather than rain or wind. No game currently carries a major weather threat to the spread or total.

BIGGEST WEATHER IMPACT

LOUISVILLE VS. OLE MISS

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET

Location: Nissan Stadium, Nashville

Forecast: Approximately 87–89 degrees at kickoff, falling into the low 80s during the second half. Humidity around 50–60%, no meaningful rain threat and winds around 5–7 mph.

Wind: Light end-zone-to-end-zone wind.

WEATHER IMPACT

This will be a hot opening-night environment, with the heat index potentially around 90 degrees early in the game. Conditioning and defensive depth could become factors during long drives, especially in the second half.

The temperature may provide a small boost to offensive pace and fatigue, but the wind is too light to affect passing or kicking. There is no strong weather-based reason to play the over or under.

LOW WEATHER IMPACT

WISCONSIN VS. NOTRE DAME

Kickoff: 7:30 p.m. ET

Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay

Forecast: Approximately 70–72 degrees at kickoff, falling into the low-to-mid 60s during the game. Humidity around 75% at kickoff and increasing later, with no rain expected.

Wind: Light crosswind around 5–7 mph.

WEATHER IMPACT

Conditions should be comfortable and stable. The wind is not strong enough to disrupt the passing game, field goals or punts, and the dry field should allow both offenses to operate normally.

There is no meaningful weather advantage for either side and no significant weather impact on the total.

IDEAL CONDITIONS

WASHINGTON STATE AT WASHINGTON

Kickoff: 4:00 p.m. ET

Location: Husky Stadium, Seattle

Forecast: Approximately 70–72 degrees, humidity around 45–50%, sunny skies and essentially no rain risk.

Wind: Light crosswind around 6–7 mph, with occasional gusts approaching 14–15 mph.

WEATHER IMPACT

This is excellent football weather. The occasional gust may briefly affect a deep pass or kick, but sustained wind remains too light to create a consistent betting edge.

BOTTOM LINE

Louisville–Ole Miss has the greatest weather consideration because of the Nashville heat. Washington State–Washington and Wisconsin–Notre Dame should both be played in comfortable, dry conditions.

There are currently no rain systems or significant sustained winds expected to materially affect today’s three FBS games.
