NFL Injury Watch — Key Players to Monitor for Week 4 — September 30, 2026

NFL WEEK 4 — KEY PLAYERS TO MONITOR
Wednesday, September 30, 2026 — Early Morning Update

CHICAGO BEARS

Caleb Williams’ hamstring recovery and the starting quarterback decision remain unresolved. Ben Johnson had not named a Week 4 starter as of Tuesday. Tyson Bagent has cleared concussion protocol; Case Keenum started Monday. Left tackle Braxton Jones also needs monitoring after leaving Monday’s game with a knee injury.

LOS ANGELES RAMS

Puka Nacua’s hip/groin injury remains a major watch against Philadelphia. Sean McVay is hopeful he returns, but he has not been cleared to play. Tight end Colby Parkinson’s shoulder status is unresolved. Terrance Ferguson and cornerback Jaylen Watson are likely to miss the game.

MINNESOTA VIKINGS

Justin Jefferson has an ankle sprain and a chance to play against Miami. Watch his practice participation and final designation before assuming he is available.

NEW YORK JETS

Breece Hall is reported week-to-week with a quad injury—not confirmed out for the season. Aaron Glenn is scheduled to provide another update Wednesday. Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis are the replacement options. Left guard Dylan Parham’s knee injury also awaits an update.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Rico Dowdle remained a nonparticipant on Tuesday’s estimated report with a toe injury. Jalen Ramsey and Brandin Echols were limited. Joey Porter Jr. was estimated as a full participant, but his game availability and potential workload remain under review ahead of Thursday’s Cleveland game.

SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS

Mike Evans’ rib injury remains under evaluation. Trent Williams is expected to be ready by Thursday following a neck/stinger issue, while Dre Greenlaw’s workload will be managed because of a quad contusion. Watch their practice progression. Nick Bosa is already ruled out for Week 4.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS

Jayden Daniels is traveling to London and expected to practice in some capacity following his elbow injury. Practice participation alone does not confirm game clearance; the quarterback decision needs an official update. Frankie Luvu and Chig Okonkwo are also expected to resume some practice work. Sam Cosmi and Nick Cross have been ruled out.
